Fans can't get over Sofia Vergara's new look for her role in Netflix's upcoming series, 'Griselda'.
The stunning Colombian, who so often dazzles with her breathtaking beauty and looks, undergone a huge physical transformation for the role in which she will interpret 1980's drug lord, Griselda Blanco.
Although not as high-profile as cartel bosses like Pablo Escobar or 'Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo,Griselda Blanco was one of the most powerful people in the drugs business in the US, controlling the drug trade in Miami.
"Push herself to the limit"
The executive producer of the series, Eric Newman- who also was the mastermind producer behind Netflix's 'Narcos'-, explained that Vergara had to push herself to the limit both physically and mentally to prepare for the role.
"She knew she had to dive in completely into this role and feel insecure and afraid, but she knew that all she had was her work, that she had to push herself to the limit," he said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
To change her facial features and help align her more physically with Griselda, Vergara had to use plenty of makeup and prosthetics, and fans hardly recognized her when the first photos from the series were made public.
