General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that a familiar face is returning to the ABC soap. On social media, Derk Cheetwood (Max Giambetti) shared some terrific news with fans. He used his Twitter and Facebook accounts to spread the word about his upcoming GH appearances.
Cheetwood posted, “Great to be back in Port Charles!” He also listed his location as The Prospect Studios, so Cheetwood’s undoubtedly been shooting some exciting stuff on set. Many GH viewers will be happy to see this fan favorite when his new scenes hit the air. Max is always a fun addition when he pops in.
In fact, several General Hospital watchers replied to Cheetwood’s tweet and let him know they were ready for Max’s comeback. One fan gushed, “Looking forward to seeing you again!” Another viewer exclaimed, “Missed you a lot! Hope you’re staying!” Over on Facebook, “Yay” was a popular response along with plenty of excited GIFs. It’s clear that people are already gearing up for Max.
What will Max be up to during his next stint? You can bet it’ll involve Sonny (Maurice Benard) and the rest of Corinthos clan. General Hospital has been taking a break from all the mob drama and focusing on Mike’s (Max Gail) mental decline instead. It’s been brutal to watch, but it’s certainly a gripping story. Gail and Benard are doing a fantastic job with the material.
Griffin (Matt Cohen) revealed that Mike is now in the moderate stage of Alzheimer’s. He noted that patients tend to stay in this stage the longest, but there are no guarantees. Mike could easily head downhill faster than expected, especially since they don’t know when his symptoms first presented.
Max could take action if Mike goes missing again or perhaps lashes out violently. Sonny has accepted that Mike’s going to be hard to handle, so he’ll need lots of help. Of course, Nelle (Chloe Lanier) is also cooking up a dangerous scheme. If she decides to kick things up a notch and hire a Morgan (Bryan Craig) lookalike, Max might have to investigate after a sighting near the home.
Whatever the case, there’ll surely be some intriguing way for Max to be part of the story.
