SYDNEY’S inner west house price records just keep getting broken.
A six-bedroom 1885 Ashfield trophy home has sold again for a record price, the second time in 13 months.
The Victoria St mansion sold “with a six in front of it” ahead of yesterday’s scheduled auction through Devine Real Estate agent Greg Emerton.
Coniston, the Victorian filigree-style mansion, was once home of the famous Sydney identity Bea Miles having been built for her grandfather, accountant John Miles.
Set on a 2276sq m, Coniston sold last February for $5.45 million.
Strathfield has had exciting times, too.
The $6.8 million record, that stood since 2014, was topped in mid-last year with a Newton Rd sale for $6,825,000 through Devine Real Estate agents Aaron Papadimatos and Greg Emerton.
Records continued to tumble when a Llandilo Ave home sold for $7.3 million.
And an off-market sale on Agnes St went under the radar. The buyer
paid $8.4 million, according to recent transfer documents.
